ARRS Is Your Partner in Lifelong Learning
The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), founded in 1900, is the first and oldest radiology society in the United States. The society has been a forum for progress in radiology since shortly after the discovery of the X-ray and is dedicated to the advancement of medicine through the science of radiology and its allied sciences. The society currently has more than 20,000 members worldwide.
ARRS is dedicated to excellence in education for its members at all career stages. The monthly American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR) is a highly respected peer-reviewed journal with a worldwide circulation of more than 23,000. For 100 years the AJR has been recognized as one of the best radiology journals in the world. The AJR focus on lifelong learning and continuing medical education (CME). Free CME is offered to members monthly in the AJR. Members may obtain CME through free or deeply discounted online courses, educational syllabi and educational seminars. The ARRS scientific annual meeting, held in a new location each year, consists of instructional courses, scientific sessions, a categorical course, a case-based review course, power hours, scientific exhibits and commercial exhibits and provides various CME as well as networking opportunities in a setting conducive to learning. The 2012 annual meeting will be April 29-May 4 in Vancouver, BC.
The ARRS strives to keep members informed of the latest happenings of the society and the profession of radiology. Member communications include the ARRS InPractice Magazine, ARRS InPractice Insight, ARRS Member E-mail Alerts and the ARRS Web site.
