“Radiology has been an inseparable part of my life for 50 years. As I have grown and raised an ever-expanding family, so has the field of radiology grown and expanded. Radiology has been good to me, and has given me much, personally, professionally and intellectually. I am also fortunate in having prospered materially as a result of my involvement in radiology. But nothing in life is a one-way street; I have taken much from radiology, and in return I am morally committed to giving something of value back to it. My wife's and my contribution to the ARRS Roentgen Fund, to be used to educate and support young men and women so that they, too, can enjoy the fruits of and benefit from radiology, is but one small way by which I can attempt to repay the enormous debt that I owe to my profession; it is but one small way of saying, ‘thank you.’” Dr. Leonard Berlin
