Rhonda Sue Strunk, RT(R)(CT), became the newest CERT editor in the summer of 2009. She writes the lessons along with a medical writer. CERT lessons are focused on practical, clinical information in topic areas needed most by technologists including CT, mammography and MRI.
Rhonda Strunk received her radiologic technologist education training at the Mercy School of Radiology in Ohio and became certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in the early 1980s. Rhonda currently works for the University of Cincinnati in the Department of Radiology as an instructor of Clinical Radiology Training. She also serves as a supervisor of 3D CT/MR in the Post-Processing Lab for UC Physicians. Previous employers have included GE Medical Systems, Mercy Fairfield Hospital and Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.
Rhonda has authored and co-authored several articles for publications such as Radiologic Technology; Journal of Vascular Surgery, Vascular Images; Technology and Techniques in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery; American Journal of Roentgenology; and Neurosurgical Review. She has co-authored scientific research through abstracts, posters and educational exhibits to the Radiological Society of North America; American Roentgen Ray Society; Society of Thoracic Radiology and the American Society of Neuroradiology.
Rhonda is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologist, Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography as well as serving on committees for The Society to Advance Radiology Technology and the North American Society of Cardiovascular Imaging.
