Firewall Information

To use VirtualU software from behind a firewall you will need to allow a TCP inbound and outbound connection on port 443 from uni.virtualbeginnings.com and worlds1.digitell3d.com
Additionally port 80 will need to be open to objects.digitell3d.com for both normal web traffic as well as zip files.
To manually set up a proxy settings, open the aworld.ini file, which can be found within the VirtualU directory, and add the following proxy ini settings:
[proxy]
address=www.myproxy.com (or whatever)
port=8080 (or whatever).
Hard Disk Space
The initial install of VirtualU will take less than 5MB of space on your hard disk. However, as you travel in VirtualU, the objects you encounter are cached to disk for faster loading on your next visit. This can require a substantial amount of additional disk space. We recommend that you have at least 1 GB free on your hard disk at all times for best performance.
Note:
When you register for this course, you are agreeing that when you are attending the virtual conference, your name will be shown in both online platforms for online attendees. This is part of the virtual conferencing networking feature.
