The mission of the ARRS Global Partner Society (GPS) Program is to build long-standing relationships with key leaders and societies in the global imaging community including raising awareness and stature of the ARRS and its program and services in targeted countries through key societies while raising awareness and stature of the Global Partner Societies within the ARRS community.
Global Partner Societies
The ARRS has established global partnerships with the following international radiology societies.
The Korean Society of Radiology (KSR) participated in a Global Exchange Featuring South Korea during the ARRS 2010 Annual Meeting. During the exchange, KSR representatives presented instructional courses and scientific sessions with ARRS faculty. Award winning KSR electronic exhibits were highlighted during the meeting and a Focus Group on Radiation Safety was held with ARRS and KSR leaders. KSR participated in the ARRS 2011 Annual Meeting in an international panel discussion regarding cloud computing and submitted award winning KSR electronic exhibits. In return, the ARRS participated in the KSR 2010 Annual Meeting and will participate again in 2011. Dr. Joseph K.T. Lee, ARRS President, was made an honorary KSR member in 2010 and Dr. Dong Ik Kim, KSR President, was made an honorary ARRS member in 2011.
The Spanish Society of Medical Radiology (SERAM) participated in a Global Exchange Featuring Spain during the ARRS 2011 Annual Meeting. During the exchange, SERAM representatives presented instructional courses and scientific sessions with ARRS faculty. Award winning SERAM electronic exhibits were highlighted during the meeting and a Focus Group on Appropriateness of Imaging was held with ARRS and SERAM leaders. Dr. Eduardo Fraile, SERAM President, was made an honorary ARRS member during the meeting. ARRS will participate in the SERAM 2012 Annual Meeting.
The Japan Radiological Society (JRS) will participate in a Global Exchange Featuring Japan during the ARRS 2012 Annual Meeting and the ARRS will participate in the JRS 2012 Annual Meeting.
The Italian Society of Medical Radiology (SIRM) will participate in a Global Exchange Featuring Italy during the ARRS 2013 Annual Meeting and the ARRS will participate in the SIRM 2014 Annual Meeting.
The ARRS is pleased to announce its newest global partner, the Radiological Society of South Africa (RSSA).
