Program Objectives

The 2008 annual meeting of the American Roentgen Ray Society has three goals:

  • to offer an educational forum in the practice and science of radiology based on recognized needs;
  • to provide a forum to report on, exchange information on and disseminate new developments and expert knowledge in radiology; and
  • to ensure that the educational activities have influenced participants’ knowledge, skills, behavior and practice performance.

Who Should Attend

Radiologists, radiologists-in-training and allied health professionals interested in the science and practice of radiology.

Continuing Medical Education Credits

The ARRS is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical educational activities for physicians.

The ARRS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 51.25 category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

Approximately six weeks after the meeting, each registered attendee will receive a certificate of attendance and a transcript verifying the number of credits earned. The record of credits earned will be compiled from attendance forms that will be provided in the annual meeting registration packet. It is the attendee’s responsibility to complete and submit attendance forms.

A record of CME credits earned will also be available to ARRS members on www.arrs.org. The ARRS has developed a Web-based tracking system that includes all CME credits earned through the ARRS Annual Meeting and other ARRS CME materials.
