Digital Mammography Workshops

Tuesday, April 15-Thursday, April 17
9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Roland Holland, MD, PhD, Course Director

Who Should Attend
Radiologists, radiology residents, technologists, and other healthcare professionals who want to acquaint and train themselves in digital mammography interpretation and assess their interpretation skills.

Goals and Objectives
Following completion of this program, the participants should be more familiar with reading and manipulating screening digital mammography cases and will have assessed their interpretation skills to detect cancers in their early stage and to maintain a good balance between recall rate and detection rate.

This workshop gives participants the opportunity for hands-on experience. Participants may register for more than one one-hour session. Each session starts with an introduction that includes the learning objectives of the workshop, the method of reading and self-assessment and instruction on how to use the system. The participant will read the cases, then assess their own number of false positives and false negatives and discuss the cases with the medical experts. Participants will be able to choose between several different modules, each one containing selected screening mammography cases with a mix of biopsy proven positives and negatives. Each module is independent of the others; they do not need to be completed sequentially.

Space in the workshops is limited. Register early.

This workshop is made possible, in part, by an unrestricted educational grant from Hologic, Barco and MeVis BreastCare.
