A: Contact the ARRS Membership Services Team at 800-438-2777, 703-729-3353, or via email at membership@arrs.org.
Q: Why do I receive renewal notices months before my membership expires?
A: It is the best way to ensure your membership with the ARRS does not lapse. Renewing early helps avoid lapses in membership and other possible complications such as not receiving the print version of the AJR or the ARRS InPractice or having online access to the AJR.
Q: Are there specific join dates to become a member of the ARRS?
A: No, you may join anytime. The ARRS welcomes membership applications throughout the year.
Q: Do my membership benefits expire on December 31st of each year or 12 months from the time I join on my anniversary date?
A: Your membership benefits expire 12 months from the time you join on your anniversary date.
Q: Can I subscribe to the AJR without being a member?
A: Yes. Non-member individual and institutional subscriptions are available. Please email subscribe@arrs.org for more information and pricing, click here. If you are a non-member individual that wants to subscribe to the AJR, it will cost less to join the ARRS as a member than to be non-member subscriber.
Q: I’m a subscriber to the AJR and would now like to become a member. What do I need to do to convert my ARRS subscriber account to a member account?
A: Download an ARRS membership application. Once you have completed the application, please make a notation on the form that indicates you are currently a subscriber and then fax the application to 703-729-4839 or mail the application to the ARRS Membership Services Team. Once the application has been received, in 4-6 weeks your subscriber account will be converted to a member account. You will maintain the same 6-digit ARRS ID number to access the AJR Online. Once the process is complete, you will receive a new member packet welcoming you to the ARRS.
Q: How often is the magazine, ARRS InPractice, published?
A: The ARRS InPractice magazine is published and mailed to members quarterly. Click here to view the current issue of the ARRS InPractice Magazine.
Q: I understand the ARRS occasionally rents mailing lists to companies with radiology related products and services. How do I set up my membership account to exclude me from such lists?
A: On the membership application, you may designate that you do not wish to be included on these rental lists. If you are already a member, email membership@arrs.org or call the ARRS Membership Services Team at 800-438-2777, 703-729-3353 and the staff will make the change to your membership record.
Q: How can I get more involved with the ARRS?
A: The ARRS encourages its membership to get involved with the society. Volunteers are the foundation of ARRS and allow the society to ensure its mission and strategic initiatives are achieved. You can make a difference with ARRS and contribute to the radiology profession in a variety of ways. Click here to review volunteer opportunities with the ARRS and complete a volunteer form.

Q: What happens if I let my membership expire?

Q: I received a member dues invoice but I am still in training. What do I need to do?
A: Please provide a letter from your program director or department chair with the name and contact information of the institution where you are completing your training, begin and end dates of your residency or fellowship and the specialty you are studying within radiology. Q: I’m a retired radiologist. Do you have a special membership rate for me?
A: The ARRS has an Emeritus Membership category for current members who are fully retired and have been members of the ARRS for at least three years.
