Strategies to Overcome the Most Common Misses in Clinical Practice

Categorical Course

This three-day Categorical Course will provide practice-based strategies for turning errors into opportunities in both acute and routine imaging settings. Renowned faculty will discuss the role of data and technology, proper use of standardized reports, and implementing peer learning to reduce errors. As a participant, not only will you review cases across the spectrum of radiology, but you will also gain the skills and strategies to overcome misses utilizing advanced technology.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Formulate a process for peer learning.
  • Discuss the potential and limitations of artificial intelligence for enhancing radiologist performance.
  • Identify how the appropriate use of standardized reporting systems such as LI-RADS and TI-RADS can improve performance and reduce errors.
  • Recognize common misses and misdiagnosis in each discipline in radiology.
  • Describe strategies that assist in improving diagnosis in adult and pediatric radiology.

Each registrant will receive the accompanying book, featuring a corresponding chapter for each scheduled presentation. Individuals who register for the virtual course after April 3 will receive the book approximately 2 months after the Virtual Meeting takes place. To receive the book to use with the Virtual Categorical Course, be sure to register prior to April 3.
