Message from the Chair of The Roentgen Fund Board of Trustees
Melissa Rosado de Christenson, MD
I am delighted to report that The Roentgen Fund remains strong and continues to grow in the midst of the challenging times our specialty and our society currently experience. I thank our donors for their most generous contributions to the career advancement of the radiologists-in-training and in practice who benefit from the many scholarships, awards, and research and education opportunities that ultimately strengthen our specialty and medicine as a whole. I am particularly thankful to all the members of the Executive Council of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), The Roentgen Fund Board of Trustees, and the ARRS Committee members and faculty who rose to meet this year’s match challenge by contributing an unprecedented $40,000 over the last six months for a total contribution from your leadership of $80,000. I look forward to the selection of a new group of Figley and Rogers Fellows, ARRS scholars, resident/fellow award recipients, clinician educators in radiology, and Roentgen Fund Honorary Lecture awardees. I am grateful for the privilege and opportunity to lead The Roentgen Fund in support of the ARRS mission “to improve health through a community committed to advancing knowledge and skills in radiology.”
