Breast Imaging
|
Goals and Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants will have a better understanding of the appropriate role of ultrasound, MRI, mammography, and tomosynthesis in breast cancer. Participants will implement protocols that appropriately utilize modalities for breast cancer screening, and better identify calcifications, masses, and asymmetries on various breast imaging modalities. Participants will be able to distinguish artifacts and architectural distortion from true masses and asymmetries and be able to discuss the latest imaging and interventional procedures. In addition, participants will apply protocols for the appropriate use of new modalities and procedures.
The course includes four modules:
Module 1 – Mammography
Module 2 – MRI
Module 3 – Multimodality Imaging
Module 4 – Society and Technology in Imaging
15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
9 SAM Credits

Goals and Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the attendee will be able to explain the current status of low-dose CT screening for lung cancer, discuss the guidelines for the diagnosis and management of sub-solid lung nodules, and identify the role of high resolution CT pattern recognition in the diagnosis of diffuse lung disease. Attendees will be able to implement current state-of-the-art methods for performing and interpreting dynamic CT studies in patients with suspected pulmonary embolism and be able to describe the current applications of CT angiography for assessing the entire range of acute aortic syndromes.
The course includes four modules:
Module 1 – Thoracic Neoplasia
Module 2 – Diffuse Lung Disease
Module 3 – Vascular Disease
Module 4 – Airway Disease
